PARTNERSHIP CALLS FOR ARTISTS, CRAFTERS, MUSICIANS, WRITERS
BAGDAD – The Bagdad Waterfronts Florida Partnership is seeking local and regional artists, crafters, writers and performers to participate in the second annual Bagdad Village Front Porch Art Stroll from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in the picturesque historic waterfront village of Bagdad.
Venues will include the front porches of homes and lawns of historic homes throughout the village shaded by moss-draped sprawling live oaks and Southern magnolias.
The Art Stroll provides a unique venue for local artists to showcase their work and will provide an excellent opportunity for artisans to interact with visitors and community art supporters. Entry fees for vendors are $25 which includes event insurance coverage and
advertising in the event's program. Limited space is available. For an event application, please call (850) 981-9915 or visit www.BagdadWaterfronts.org. Deadline for applications is Oct. 1.
Once a bustling lumber mill village, Bagdad was the center of the Southeastern lumber industry for more than 110 years before closing in 1939. At one time Bagdad was the biggest, most modern lumber exporter in the western world. Bagdad was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
